Turn off sound in an embeded swf...

I tried googleing it, but it was no help...

Quick question...

Is there any way to turn off the sound of an embeded swf file?

convert the swf to avi then mute it.

or, and im guessing here, import it into a swf editor then play it back with sound off.

why do you need this?

The only thing I can think of, is if you have the source, or if you are making it or something, would be to use StopAllSounds();. I'm sure that's not what your after though.

What are you using this for? If you don't want sound, it seems like you want this in the background. However, an animation in the background is distracting.

i am just embedding a game on something but there are other sounds already and this is interfereing.

What other sounds? Background sounds? Get rid of them, they're annoying.

You could try taking the swf file, and embedding it into another swf/flash file, and then use the StopAllSounds(); command. Then export it as a new file. It's a guess, but it might work.
