How to Post Well
100. Do not ask a question in the subject line
200. Do not tell us anything about your level of experience in the subject line 300. Do include precise details about what your code should do 400. Do include precise details about what your code does 500. Post some code, and put it in code tags 600. Patiently await a response EDIT: Feel free to suggest anything else. There is plenty of room for expansion. I realized that the "do not" list could get to be really long so perhaps "do" is a better way to go if there are any other suggestions.

- How about no questions in the intro log?
- Do not post homework assignments without showing a valid effort on your part... ...

Doesn't this forum have "code" tags? In the version on DevShed the code (inside "code" tags) is in a (relatively) small block with scroll bars to minimize the space it takes up.

Yes, they have code tags, but once you minimise the space it takes up, it's annoying to read the code because it's cramped into such a tiny space. So if there's a large wad of code to read through, it's annoying. I much prefer it when people nopaste large chunks of code (normally nopastes have decent syntax highlighting) or post it as an attachment.
What really peeves me is when people post code in quote tags. It doesn't happen often around here, but it's annoying. Takes up a stupid amount of space, too. That, and when you get quotes being quoted. And when you quote a hugemongously long post already.
