i'm not using java se 6 which is the first with Desktop available. i have already programed video loading, but i can't see anything. with some videos i get the sound only, with others i get an error...

i already know how subtitles format (such as srt, sub, ssa,...) work. i can't find any starting point, for example, if i want to load the external file and paste it into a video, i probably will have...

I have been assigned for a new job. I was asked to create a program that could be able of subtitleing videos. Does anyone have any idea where to start?
I mean...does anyone have any reference link...
